MineSweeper Sandbox
A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android
A customizable reimagination of the game we all know and love: Minesweeper.
How gameplay works:
- The player's objective is to reveal all tiles that are safe.
- A tile can be safe, or contain a mine.
- A revealed tile displays the number of mines present in it's neighbors, if this number is greater than zero.
- Tiles are considered to be neighbors if any of their sides or edges touch.
- If a tile is revealed and none of it's neighbors contain mines, it will automatically reveal it's neighbors.
- The player may place and remove flags from tiles to avoid accidentally uncovering these.
- A tile cannot be revealed as long as it is flagged.
What is different about sandbox?
- Customizable grid dimensions:
Set the grid to an arbitrary size. 50x20? Go for it! 300x1? Sure, why not? (Currently limited to 500x500 for no real reason) - Customizable mine fraction:
1% mines? Sure thing! 99%? knock yourself out! - Save progress:
Continue where you left off after closing the game.
